केंद्र सरकार ने बड़ा फैसला करते हुए इथेनॉल मिश्रित पेट्रोल (ईबीपी) प्रोग्राम के तहत मिश्रण के लिए इथेनॉल पर जीएसटी दर को 18 प्रतिशत से घटाकर 5 फीसदी कर दिया है।
पेट्रोलियम एवं प्राकृतिक गैस राज्यमंत्री रामेश्वर तेली ने लोकसभा में एक प्रश्न के लिखित जवाब में बताया कि इथेनॉल मिश्रण को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सरकार ने वस्तु और सेवा कर (जीएसटी) की दर को 5 प्रतिशत कर दिया है।
इथेनॉल मिश्रित पेट्रोल (ईबीपी) कार्यक्रम के तहत इथेनॉल को 18 प्रतिशत से घटकार 5 प्रतिशत किया गया है। दरअसल, देश में बढ़ते पेट्रोल के दामों के बीच केंद्र सरकार ने यह बड़ा फैसला लिया
है।इसके बाद अब इथेनॉल पर सिर्फ 5 फीसदी जीएसटी लगेगी।
याद रहे कि इथेनॉल मिश्रित पेट्रोल (ईबीपी) प्रोग्राम के तहत पेट्रोल में इथेनॉल को मिक्स किया जाता है। साल 2018 में ऑयल मार्केटिंग कंपनियों की तरफ से इथेनॉल की खरीद में भी इजाफा हुआ
है।
गन्ने पर आधारित फीडस्टॉक्स जैसे सी एंड बी भारी गुड़, गन्ने का रस, चीनी, चीनी सिरप से उत्पादित इथेनॉल का खरीद मूल्य सरकार द्वारा और खाद्यान्न
आधारित फीडस्टॉक्स से सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की तेल मार्केटिंग कंपनियों द्वारा
वार्षिक आधार पर तय किया जाता है।

Center reduces GST rate on ethanol from 18 to 5 percent
New Delhi.
In a major decision, the central government has reduced the GST rate on
ethanol for blending under the Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) program from
18 percent to 5 percent.
Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Rameshwar Teli, in a
written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, said that the government
has reduced the rate of Goods and Services Tax (GST) to 5 percent to
promote ethanol blending. Ethanol has been reduced from 18 per cent to 5
per cent under the Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) program me.
Actually, amidst rising petrol prices in the country, the central
government has taken this big decision. After this, only 5 percent GST
will be applicable on ethanol.
Remember that under the Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) program, ethanol
is mixed with petrol. In the year 2018, the purchase of ethanol by oil
marketing companies has also increased. The purchase price of ethanol
produced from sugarcane based feedstocks such as C&B heavy molasses,
sugarcane juice, sugar, sugar syrup is decided by the government and by
the public sector oil marketing companies from food grain based
